just a thought why not, get a manager, sack the goalkeeping coach, play the best 11 for a change, get fans back in the town end, pay pook off, send in a compilation of smiths f--k-ups to you,ve been framed, should make a bit of cash, send the team back out 5 mins earlier after half time, all in all i,m stressed out and stfc aren,t making it any better. i,ve seen 3 wins all season shocking

Got to say that was disappointing today, Carlisle were pretty poor - but in a way they deserved their point. They continued to go forward but never really created a good chance, whilst we hit the woodwork twice. The referee was a disgrace and completely biased against us. There appear to be no tactics, just play hoofball from the back, I am sure some of those clearances from Ifil and Hasney had snow on them when they finally descended. Thought those two did well though, Jerel was a bit rusty at times but that is only to be expected. We were a bit overrun in midfield, Macca is a delight to watch going forward, but adds no steel at all, Pook had a very poor game and just left Peacock and JP trying to play against their four. Thought those two did ok, the new lad did well at full back but was never man of the match - thought that should have gone to Jack Smith or JP. Cox tried hard but at times Paynter loooked disinterested. Haven't mentioned the goalie, that ball should have been punched beyond the box not to the edge of it and there were other times where he should have taken control of the situation but didn't. All in all that was two points that got away against a team that will certainly be in the relegation scrap at the end of the season. If we don't get this next appointment right - and soon - we will certainly be in there with them.

Well that was definitely two points loss, Carlisle were awful. What can you say about the ref, as pointed out earlier as soon as a Swindon player made a foul booked, Carlisle player not even spoken too. Poor game all the same. Why or why do we not go and finish sides off, we defend so deep, at times we played eight across the back.
My opinion for what it is worth: We have a goalkeeping problem without a doubt, poor punch. The back four though I thought looked pretty solid. Midfield, what fucking midfield. I thought Cox was brilliant, his work rate is better than any other in the side, and his turn when his shot hit the bar was way above 1st Division standard. I've been a slater of Peacock in recent weeks but thought he performed well defensively, Pook was dire. If we dont get forward momentum in these sort of games we will go down, so Bryne stop your negative thoughts and instead of trying to defend a one goal lead go out and win the fucking game.

Just a thought, but maybe if we didn't sit back so much and invite so much pressure for the last 10-15 minutes, maybe Phil Smith would be less likely to make that "error". Notice he caught every cross bar that one today? I dunno, we definitely lack the ability to kill a team off - Walsall showed us how last week.

One thing this thread has made me realise today is that everybody sees every match in a totally different way. Probably depending on where they sit in the ground and whether they have ever played or been involved in the game before, because some of the things that are being said are the complete opposite of what I saw today. There are a lot of people too that talk a lot of sense but there are also a lot of people that talk out of their anal passages on here. I know that is part of the crack of being involved with a forum but anyone would think half the people on here are expecting to go out and watch AC Milan FFS! The critisism of some of the things I saw today are unbelievable, like nobody expects our team to make a mistake? A reality check is needed for quite a few on here I think, we are in league 1 so should expect league 1 quality I'm afraid! Having said that, Pook was shite today!

Peacock developed a happy knack of being in the right place a couple of times when running back. I thought Paynter showed some good lay offs and that Cox wasn't as impressive as normal (overhead kick excepted)
Kennedy was ok but Aljofree was my MOM. Pook's performances starting to slip. Ifil rusty, one mistake by P.Smith.
McGovern and J.Smith ok, McNamee a curate's egg.
I can't see what we'd do without Paynter as a target - obviously not the most talented but offers for most things. Why do we take so long to take a throw-in (usually waiting unitl Paynter is within range)

Spot on Berniman. And to add to the consensus, that ref needs fucking shooting. Totally lost control of the game, both sides are very lucky no-one was seriously hurt because although Carlisle were far more to blame and certainly started the two-footed kung fu kicks, Jerel had a couple of "meaty" challenges late on (don't blame him, he's watching team-mates going down like flies under bad challenges and thinks "Well, fuck it I'll get stuck in as well"), that could all too easily have escalated badly and led to someone getting a serious injury. Bates shouldn't be put in charge of a parks game
