Humph. Smiley

Let me rephrase. Is there anywhere online that you can bet on the next swindon manager.

It was Pearce last week so I'll believe this if and when I see it, although with the amount of 'insider' threads start one of them is bound to be partly right.

I wouldnt want Calderwood here as manager. There are better choice out there.

Let's think about this a minute, why would a club like Forest allow their manager to take 1 last game before he moves on to a new club ?

It don't work like that, stfc get permission to talk to CC, CC agrees to sign for stfc, stfc agree compensation with NF for their manager, CC quits Forest for STFC immediately, Forest install CC No 2 as caretaker manager while they appoint new manager.

Why would he stay at his previous club when he has a new job, they wouldn't want him if he wasn't commited.

And I do not think that CC would quit Forest at the moment, and reading his comments after their win the weekend really sums it up:

"The opportunity to manage a club like this is all you'd want, so the rough comes with the smooth on occasions and you've got to accept it."

Get your money on Calderwood to not be stfc boss.

The Forest fans forum contains a rumour that Calderwood has quit by (proper) mutual consent, but is staying on until the man is available.

I wouldn't be surprised, it's not working out there for him right now. It would also mean no compo' to Notts Forrest (sic) for anyone wishing to employ him.

None of this means he is coming to STFC of course.

Its in the nature of Calderwood's contract.

He is on a rolling contract, Forest dont want him to leave until they have a replacement lined up. Calderwood was told before the previous game (apparantly) that he would be asked to leave and given the choice of waiting til a replacement is announced or going immediately. He chose to stay.

Swindon/CC made a decision early this week. Calderwood agreed to take charge of Forest for the coming game. Forest hope to announce new manager Sunday/Early next week.
