Right I have a new TV well have for a few weeks and it has the freeview package so all the E4 stuff, TMF, SS News etc. - anyway Ive noticed that now and again when I opt for channel 83 (ss news) that it goes to TMF instead and I can't find SS News?

Its really weird as when it does that there is no sound.  Does it need to be tuned or anything as I don't really know what to do with it

Probably wouldn't do much harm to retune it, I doubt it's a complicated procedure.

Most have an auto-scan feature that will scan for new/moved channels and re-tune as neccesary.

if that doesn't work then i'd say the freeview reciever is faulty
