Definitely wants to be a manager again. If the Charlton job is an option for him it's a better one than us I guess.
"I think once you've had a taste of management, you miss it. I've enjoyed working at Charlton but I'm ambitious.
"Whether it is here or somewhere else, I feel I want to be a manager again."
Parkinson had a successful spell of three years as Colchester manager but won only five matches of a 24 game stint in charge of Hull.
He added: "Am I ready to be a manager again, be it at Charlton or somewhere else? Yes I am.
"I see myself as a manager, but it's not about me, it's about Charlton Football Club, getting this season back on track and that's what we've all got to do."
