So then why is Byrne putting players in their unnatural positions too? I'm not trying to slag him off too much as we've got a couple of decent points in the last 2 games, but this sudden 'Byrne is alright attitude' after loads of people were slagging him off two weeks ago amazes me.
Well I wasn't. But surely people are entitled to change their minds?

Of course. Although I'd have to say someone who changed their mind after two games probably had a fickle trait.

Incidentally my comment was a general one not aimed at anybody specifically, but comments supporting Byrne were few and far between when others were saying get rid. In my opinion he's done nothing differently to last time he was in charge (so far). Again, that needn't be a bad thing, we've got 2 decent enough results.

2 goals and 1 point more than I thought we'd get. Shame it was a 94th minute equaliser but it sounds like Rovers deserved it.

Did we play with commitment and passion? Did we look like we wanted it?

Yeah, I did try and say that was a good point, especially as people often slagged Malpas off for it, a few pages back, but I think it may have got lost somewhere.

I wasn't there, but would Cox have made a difference? What was the poorest our attacking or defending?

To be honest Wovers dont look like a bottom half of the table team. They battered us for long spells and we were lucky to get a draw.

We came out after half time and played some fantastic football. Just total commitment. Unfortunately we couldnt keep our shape once we went 2-1 up.

Barry Corr is fucking brilliant. End of. Well done Bazza.

I don't think he's done a lot different from last time either - I thought he did well last time and is doing well this time. Incidentally, if you add the last two games on to when he was last in charge we're 8 unbeaten on the trot under Byrne now.

It's a slight curio that at teh moment we've yet to play 7 sides in this league and 5 of them are in the bottom 9 or so. Having said that our record against the higher placed teams, so far, is no worse, than against the lower placed teams.

Therefore I don't think we can necessarily assume some easier games on the horizon.

PBoro, I predicted for a PO finish...their away form is average, but they have a potent attack....another game then, where we'll probably have to score at least a couple to get anything.

With the greatest of respect adje, that's bollocks. Wovers bombarded us for the last 20 minutes and the lads stood up well - without that we could have conceded a lot sooner. We were right behind Phillips' goal so I couldn't say what was the direct cause of conceding it but it looked a good strike and like I say we'd done well to hang on that long. Gutted walking away because if we'd held on for another minute we'd have won but if you'd offered me 2-2 and another strong battling performance when we got in the ground, I'd have taken it. Good game, especially considering it was a derby and a good away point, especially as we were without Cox whereas they still had League 1's other leading goalscorer

"bollocks" with respect? That's novel!I appreciate that you were there and I wasn't but conceding 8 free kicks in the last 5 minutes when we are notoriously bad at defending set pieces is a bit undisciplined and conceding with the last kick of the game  regardless of how much pressure you've been under  must still feel like 2 points dropped surely?

Yup. Spence sums it up very well, actually. Don't underestimate how hard those lads fought today, and against the swivel-eyed "short man syndrome" ref as well as a very determined Wovers side.

I thought that our defending was poor. Due to his age I guess that you have to say that Morrison shows promise, however, he is prone to mistakes. I do not think that Kanyuka & Morrison together is the answer. It has to be one or the other.
