Still not risking Corr then. Sturrock will be lacking match fitness too I guess.

One absence and we've been caught short, which people have been warning for a while.

Hope he does the business.

He hinted at this at the Trust Meeting I think. A good move in my opinion, Corr playing 90 against Rovers who are bound to put a few tackles in could be a risk.

Joyce is a great finisher, if he does start and an opportunity falls his way during the game he has a great natural instinct to stick in the net without even thinking.

But now I've said that he'll probably miss a hatful.

Agree, I've watched Joyce in Yoof and Reserve level and the boy can finish. Just hope he can do the business if he plays tomorrow, it's a hell of a game to throw him in.

Starting him in place of whom exactly?

Instead of Cox so we have McNamee - Joyce - Paynter up top or in place of McNamee so we go Joyce - Corr - Paynter up top?

I'm no DV expert, but surely the finishing part of the game is the bit which is easiest to take up to the next level. It'll be the getting into position, doing the forwardy run around, fooling the defender business which will be the test. As well has holding his nerve when it does come to having a shot on goal.

I'd imagine it'll be 4-4-2 with Paynter and Joyce...but I'm probably wrong as usual!

Fair play to Byrne for going with Joyce. From what brief glimpses I've seen of Joyce he's looked pretty handy so it'll be interesting to see how he handles it.

Also, with Morrison, Pook and Joyce we could potentially have 3 ex-youth teamers in the starting line up!

After playing a full 90 against Brighton and scoring against Leicester I'd be very shocked if Corr didnt start.

Unless his fitness is in question, seems an odd one to me dropping a guy who just come back from injury and scored for an untried 17 year old.

Must be a fitness thing, in Byrne we trust...

Wouldn't drop Corr, but mainly because I'd be scared of breaking him

But surely going with Paynter and Corr up front would be encouraging one-dimensional hoofball?

Quite, two big lads up front - if you're looking to replace the system we play with Cox then you have Joyce as the little guy paired with one of Paynter or Corr

The hoof it up to Corr worked well against Leicester.

Anyway if that was the case Corr and Paynter upfront its up to Byrne to drum it into the lads to not look for the long ball and to get it out to the wingers and get the crosses in.

It's much easier to start with the getting it through to the strikers plan, before switching to hoof it up to super sub corr if things aren't working, than it is doing it the other way round. If that makes sense.

It's a very much wait and see I suppose. We might start with Sturrock and Corr upfront.
