Seeing as Holloway and Dowie aren't even mentioned there, I wouldn't read too much into it!!

John Ward sounds like the kind of choice we might make ... I hope not!

Wind up or not, I would be somewhat disappointed if he were to get the job

Can you give me the odds on Lord Lucan riding into Atlantis on the back of the Loch Ness monster. Thanks.

Replacing Maurice with a manager who got 1 point out of a possible 30 in the last ten matched at Carlisle? Surely AF realises that won't get the positive vibes going at the CG.
I'm still drawn to Holloway, have a feeling he'd do well here. Holloway did well at QPR and Plymouth, who are by no means big clubs with huge amounts of cash, okay he didn't do so well at Leicester (bigger club with money). I feel Town are more of a QPR/Plymouth club so just have hunch (and that's all it is) that he work his magic here.
Oh and we could use Si Pie's Ian Holloway (there's no other way) song, which although a slight past/present tense clash in the last line, is superb.

The guy who first broke the news about the departure of MM on ThisIs,seems to be suggesting that
John Ward is emerging as the favourite. He maintains that the board are currently split between,AF's
choice of Boothroyd and the rest of the board, who favour John Ward.Pure speculation of course,we'll
have to see what develops.

If it is true and i stess a big if,then that would suggest that the board are taking the safe option.
In another thread, Reg suggested that only 1 of the out of work managers has actually applied and
that some of the others, who have expressed an interest, haven't yet done so.I'm wondering if Ward
is the only one of these to have applied?
