Quote from a Leicster fan on their forum.

"Yeah they did, Swindon fans were very loud as well at times best ive seen this season"

Just goes to show what can happen when we get behind the lads.

I've quoted the post a few up from that one!

On way home. Gutted. I wonder if people will still be going on about knee jerk reactions if we miss out on automatic promotion by 2 points come the end of the season. Swindon were awful, there for the taking. To concede 2 goals in the way we did is shocking. What annoys me most is that we looked almost arrogant at 2-0 up. Bad attitude and lack of concentration cost us, Pearson has to sort that out. And fast.

We werent awful, far from it!

I thought it was our best home performance of the season.

I thought Oldham was a bit more complete.

Today was good but we still have a very sloppy 10 minutes, which in truth cost us the game. We didnt have that spell at Oldham, sure we had 15/20 minutes where Oldham were attacking but in truth Oldham never looked like scoring where as today Leicester did.

Well I enjoyed the game, even when we were losing 2-0.
Best atmosphere this season without a doubt.
I think we deserved a draw at the very least.

the turnaround today was brilliant and a pleasure to watch.even if we had lost 2-0 positives were there.
that said i dont reckon that fight and desire would have been there had malpas been in  the dug out.

That was a great day - good result against a good side and particularly the nature of it.

Good to hear a loud CG again too.

Just got back from a few post match pints and a very good vindy in the Curry Garden. I really enjoyed today's game and for the first time this season I was well proud to be Town. There were positives, there were negatives.
The positives - we battled. Pook was MOM for me. Timlin was also very good. Peacock did the hard bits and then screwed up the easy bits but he broke up their play effectively. Great goal from Corr and Cox ran the channels well. The fans were good also. I think Leicester were the best side I've seen down here this season.
The negatives. We gave away 2 fucking stupid goals. We let the bloke run and run for the first. For the second I'm afraid I blame Phil Smith - if you leave your line then you've got to clear the fucking ball even if you take out your own central defenders. He had plenty of time to do so. He wasn't helped by some useless defending however. Kanyuka is an absolute paradox. He was class and bollox in equal measures today. The one thing he needs to do more thuogh is to attack the ball. Macnamee was bollox and didn't close his man down or even look interested. The quickest he moved all game was when he was subbed - couldn't wait to get off.
I don't like Byrne but from what I saw today and last season, I wouldn't be in a rush to replace him.

I agree with almost everything you said!

I fucking love football.

Maurice Malpas - good luck ,Sir.  It didn't work out here, but you can be proud of your achievements in football.  I like to think that today's comeback was a tribute to yourself.

Ardiles are you serious? He can be proud of his achievements as a player but not as a manager. How is today's comeback a tribute to him? It would never have happenned under him.

If you're being sarcastic then I apologise but FFS this is pure bollox.

That was a monumental performance today. Pook really was different class - something I never thought I''d say about him in this lifetime. Peaks was all over the place again, amazing energy for an old boy. Nalis; fuck me, he CAN head the ball! Slowed up in the 2nd half but still made some quality challenges. Jack Smith's crosses were superb 2nd half, McNamee needs to develop his game more because the better players and managers can snuff him out too easily with his one-trick-pony routine. Not having a pop, I fucking love Macca, but he needs to offer more or he'll be forever subbed. Morrisson - what can you say about a lad of 17 who sometimes looks like a man amongst boys? He still has a lot to learn about the game, but he's fucking good already. Fuck knows what he'll be worth to us when we inevitably come to sell him.

I thought we got a bit of luck to get ourselves back in the game, specially after the dodgy period when we were spooning it all over the park and the crowd got edgy. We got the goal though and deserved the equaliser.

The crowd were fucking ace today. The hairs on my neck stood up once or twice with the mental noise generated at times.  Long time since that's happened.

Oh, and thank you to Mr. Fitton and Mr. Byrne for today. Fitton for finally booting poor old MM - the bloke did it with his now customary class and style - and Byrne for being brave enough to put out a side to do a job. His squad selection spoke volumes to me as to what has been going on in the background under Malpas (Ifil for a fucking start). He could of opted for a squad that was a respectful nod towards Malpas - it can't of been easy for Byrne seeing his boss sacked yesterday - but he did his own thing. Against a top side, off the back of some genuinely shitty performances and results, that shows he has bollocks,

I don't know what's going to happen long term with the management team, but I hope Fitton will take his time before appointing a new manager this time round. I'm not going to get excited after one positive display, but if Byrne genuinely wants the job and, more importantly, the players want him to get it and want to play for him, he deserves a few weeks grace before having to face another new boss or life on the dole. Ditto Williams.

One spoiler for me today: our dopey cunting stewards opened the exit gates at the away end 5 minutes from the end. Despite the repeated tannoy warning that Leicester fans would be locked in after the match for safety reasons, they just walked out at the end, free to get amongst our fans or whatever. I know there were some spats after the game, but what the fuck is going on with our security? Is that cunt 'Shithouse' still in charge of our steward / security department?
