You're probably right. Everybody has said that Macca wasn't in the game though?! I guess it's probably that guy being one of those who thinks players like Cox and Macca should play all game every game no matter how crap they've been

I think thats what he meant... I guess Nalis could have come off and kept Macca on. Although Byrne explained on the OS that he took Macca off cuz the ball wasn't getting to him.

I thought at the time, well if you are going to bring Corr on you need someone who is going to cross the ball into him and what with no right winger I thought it odd that McNamee was the one to go off.

He wasnt playing well but one cross on Corrs head and we're laughing.

However, it worked so Byrne knows better than I do or the guy who sat infront of Gazza did

I enjoyed that a lot!
I thought the back four looked very good, despite me worryin about the partnership of Kanyuka (Who was very impressive) and Morrision maybe bein too shaky/nervy. But fair play, the lads stuck at it and the result was a fair one.

The atomosphere was the best it's been in a long long time, so well done everybody! Even when we went a goal down, there was still the blief we could get back into it, so we got right behind the team, which was good to see/hear  Cool

Anyway, i'm out on the razz again tonight to celebrate  Beers Have a good night everybody!

Oh and Kanyuka has to be the most chilled out player ever! He looks so relaxed, even when under pressure! He put in a few crunchin tackles today, which is always nice to see

One of the most entertaining shit games I've witnessed.  Not one for the purists, was it a set-up ready for the Boothroyd era?

Someone must have had Leicester watched because we went long all game and they couldn't handle it.  We probably deserved a win today but if I was a Leciester fan I'd go away wondering how my team could get battered by such basic play.

For about 5 mins before we scored it turned in a pantomine, and can someone wake Kanyuka up every 5 minutes or so, does he suffer from Narcolepsy?  he was excellent when he woke up, better tackler than Ifil, but he spent half the game nodding off.

What turned it for me was Corr coming on, and taking of Macca was the right move despite the grumbles.  He hardly got a sniff of the ball because it was over 6ft off the ground.  It made sense to put 3 up and Corr finally offered something in the box to all of Morrisons throw ins (that we otherwise watched steadfast as Leiester had some heading practise)

The guy infront of us was  a tool. Said bring on a striker then booed as Macca went off for Corr???
I thought the crowd were good today - got right behind the team, even at 1 down, roared and clapped back to the centre circle. Bloke behind me went one better - spent 10 minutes saying "Take Macca off, bring Corr on" then when he did within 2 minutes was saying "Bloody hell, Byrne we've got no width, why did you take a winger off?" The way we came back was fantastic. Until the first goal though it was pretty much all the same from us. Sloppy defending and a lack fo bite upfront. At least we showed some fight though. Great result.

In the last five minutes I thought the DR Stand roof was going to come off, best singing I've heard for years, I got back at 6.30 and have nearly lost my voice, it was great.

Morrison I thought was superb, he lacks pace at times and that was shown today but he has a football brain and his recovery is spot on.
Pook strayed a few passes but had a really good game, I saw more football in this lad today than I've seen over the last few seasons.
Nailis, didn't realise how good he was in the air in the first half until today, but I would have subbed him in the second, thought he drifted out of the game and in the end a passenger.
Timlin superb for me, apart from not closing down for the first goal.
Would not blame Smith for the second goal to be truthful, goalkeepers nightmare when the wind doth blow.
I thought Cox had lost interest in the second half until he scored that tap in.
I was really impressed with Corr, he looks fully fit again and is going to be a major asset for the rest of the season if he keeps fit.
Controversial or not, Pook was my MOM.

Funniest moment after the game.
Old guy walking back from the Arkells with loads of Leicester fans, must have been at least 80 (Swindon of course) standing there singing - 2 up and you fucked it up, 2 up and you fucked it up - priceless.

Good battling performance today, it seems we're now Leicester's bogey team.  Cheesy

Not sure what was going on after the game but some twat started outside the Tap and Barrel down Manchester Road glassing some innocent Leicester fan.

Anyway I thought the following quote was a positive from the Leicester website, considering the problems with stewarding we've encountered in recent years

Quote
Just wanted to bring this up as they were fooking brilliant.

some of you may have seen a good 50 or so being escourted out of the side stand about 5 minutes in, this was for persistant standing the stewards didn't want it so basically said "if you want to stand go behind the goal" which we all did and stood freely front row.

The atsmosphere may have been pretty poor but I'd rather have a good bit of terrace banter standing then sit on my arse clapping along to great escape/ring of fire

And and the Burberry hat steward who went off crying laugh.gif

Common sense at last, well done swindon
