Why not....it would most likely be an internal replacement?

Because? The Leicester game is important to the board - it's another important showcase game to attract a decent gate and hopefully convince some of the casual fans to come back. If the view is that Malpas can't produce performances then leaving him in charge risks only having a negative atmosphere at an important game.

I must admit that today was the first time I got back from work sort of hoping he had been sacked. I've backed Malpas more than most, but two guttless cup exits is not good enough. Plus we now enter a tough few weeks ahead in the league and you wonder where positives will come from.

The only thing i could see them doing is putting Bodin in temp charge for the game in the hope that will put a few bums on the seats on Saturday.

I really wanted it to work for MM only if to shut up the mouthier types oh thisis.
If he is dumped out on his Jock arse, then the players should take some of the blame for lacklustre performance.

I also wanted MM to work out, only to prove those doubters that sometimes these things take time. However there's nothing I see now that convinces me he's the right man for the job and even if he/ we now did go on a massive winning run, his presence among the fans is now so divisive there isn't much he can now do to win them over.

Just look at Spurs to see what a decent Manager can achieve.

Now I know we aren't going to get someone like Harry Redknapp, but a manager that can motivate the players and instill a bit of confidence would make all the difference.

With Malpas in charge the best we can hope for is a meaningless 6 months, the worst is the prospect of League 2 again
