I think so Leefer. I'm sure Cook would have adapted the name to be a bit more British.
Random useless bit of information. I am, apparantly, a descendant of Captain Cook.  My grandad was always adamant that it was true and he wasn't the sort to make that kind of thing up! One day I'll actually get around to researching this to see if it's true.

Back to the whole Simon Cox thing, he's number 1 on goal of the week on the OS. The Scunny free-kick is in there too, along with a cracking goal from Jo Kuffour

Now for the rubbish rumour of the week...

I heard Cox is off to Sparta Prague in January, loan till the end of the season with a view to the club selling him at the end of the season.

I've heard Sheffield United from a few people. I've also heard Morrison is off to a team which as far as I can tell, does not even exist. Good work rumour mongers.

Actually reading back the email I got, it seems the infor said Cox to United or Wednesday, Morrison has been sold and so has 'Akinfenu'.

Anyone know who the mystery player is? Cheesy

He's a 7 year old boy, the next Theo Walcott, we're letting him go to Arsenal for £3,000

Doubt it's Sheffield Wednesday unless he's happy to pay his own train fair to the match - they're in more debt than you can shake a stick at...

Worth noting that Sheffield United have Billy Sharp, James Beattie, Danny Webber and Darius Henderson in their squad already.

He left Reading to get first team football did he not?

There are a clutch of CCC teams, who could well have a punt on Cox in Jan, hopefully for a couple of mill.  If they manage to go up then it would be money well spent....Roberto martinez was on the Sky FL goals show last night, and he was getting well excited about Coxy.
