Ive always thought "Slave Traders" to be a wanky nickname anyway.

They absolutely hate it down there - all the more reason to keep calling them it in my book!

If theres a Bristol city equivalent of Paul Davis then I could see him being embarrased by Bristols links with with the Slave Trade by im confident that the average fottie fan couldnt give a flying a fuck.

Tickets went on sale a couple of weeks ago plenty left still I believe.

I see they are now going to stay at their ground whilst it is redeveloped, anyone see a Blackpool style half finished ground happening?

City tend to get the Slave Traders name, unsure as to why, possibly because they are from the river and south, whereas the Rovers are more Northen monkeys of Bristol.  Until recently I'd always thought of Rovers as the nicer of the two, but my memory is tinted because we tend to win more often than not and I think I remember a fair bit of trouble back in the 80's, not too far off the shit we stirred up with Plymouth.

I think we have been given around 1100 tickets in the tent. Not sure if they are available to non-season tickets as yet though.
