I went into an abandoned missile silo cave type thing in spain once, we wondered what the mossy looking stuff on the walls was until it started moving. It was literally (and I mean literally as in the bit is properly true) hundreds of thousands of big but thin spiders lining the whole thing.
I've got a photo somewhere, I'll try and find it.
