He would be a disaster on a par with King if he was manager he'd just upset everyone.......like a poor mans version of Martin Allen

Any manager who gets the team to relax and play football will get good results with this squad.  The away form shows the potential.  They play better away because less is expected of them.

Dv do you not think we have good reason to bitch and moan

Yes, of course we do.

Its just lose/lose situation.

If we keep Malpas for the next game which is in 3 days everyone will moan they want Malpas Out

If we sack Malpas now then Byrne and Williams will be caretaker managers for the next and everyone will moan that they didnt go with Malpas.

If we sack all of the above then we will probably end up with Paul Bodin in charge and people will moan that he hasnt got enough expirence to do the job.

Usually the best we get between games is Saturday to Saturday but we really cant afford too many games without a manager because we need the points. The last two times we;ve had caretaker managers we've been in situations where we are comfortable enough to even write off a game or two or 5!

We cant afford that this time, if or rather when we do our clean sweep we need the new manager (plus staff) in by the next game.

I was at work and can't be bothered to read all the way through... OS post-match has Malpas saying he was happy with the performance, I find this hard to believe.

The return of Pook is the clear sign of desperation - nothing against Pook, but he's a player that was essentially told that there was no way back.

Sigh.

Some good points DV. It will be interesting to see (should MM go) if it will be another long winded process again or if it will be a swift appointment.

I still think we have a mid table side, one capable of avoiding the relegation scrap.

I hope the people coming back say our performance was as good as the radio made out. Because at the moment my above statement looks laughable.

Relegation scraps are usually entered into by a longish run of poor results somewhere in a season....the twice we've got relegated from this div, that has been the case, taking out the first game, we've one win in ten, that is the sort of run which can take you down, unless form really turns around, average mid table stuff isn't enough.

Have we enough players in the squad up for a battle? Debatable..
