"If we go back to last season when we had a decent run, it's because we had a consistent team," he said.

"This season, we always seem to be changing one or two people through injury, illness or a poor performance "The last two weeks I said I would play the same team, but the last game we didn't do well and it's difficult to take."

This is what Malpas said in yesterday's Adver - direct quotes.

So we now have 2 new players in the back 4 and one playing in a different position from last week. We have 2 new players in midfield. So 5 out of 10 outfield players changed from last week.

So MM, you want a settled team but as far I know there are no injuries and you could have played the same team and you haven't. Who's fault is that - the fans. If I was Ifill or Easton, I'd be knocking on your door Monday, if you're still there. What little confidence Ifill had must be well and truly shot.

And now we have Peacock in midfield who Malpas said couldn't cut it as a midfielder and said was a striker and Pook alongside him who Malpas said wasn't good enough and was trying to offload......what does that say about Malpas' judgement making skills on players. It more than suggests he doesn't really have a clue what he is doing and is clutching at straws. Pooks in the starting line-up despite having played zero minutes of 1st team football this season and is suddenly expected to change our fortunes.....

Dead Man Walking!!! Spin the barrel again its a game of Russian Roulette, when will the bullet come out?

At least Malpas is trying to make changes etc. Don't think it will work though. Think we'll lose 2-0.

I did a very silly thing today, dont normally bet with my heart.
Swindon 7/2 thought well have performed reasonably away, and Rovers 3/1 who score loads of goals away, will probably live to regret but stuckthe bet with a outcome double of 17/1

We might (...and probably will) play shit and lose but lets wait till it actually happens first
Yes we may win. But it's a strange team selection and so I don't think questioning the team selection is out of order. It's not an exclusive thing only done just because people hate Malpas.

For the record, here are my reservations:-

- Completely devoid of pace
- Completely devoid of a play make in the middle
- Pook is hard working but largely shit on the ball.

As bad as some people thing Pook is, he cant surely wont be any worse tham we've seen so far. We need ball inners in the middle and Pook might just fit that bill and leave room for the more creative to play the game.

I just copied that Dell as I think you could be my forum mentor. Only 75p on though.

Had a little accumulator with my other remaining 70p.

It's fair to say Easton has not hit form yet. That pre-season injury did him no favours.

I think the Easton omission is a problem... he's the hardest working imo

I hope i'm proven wrong, but that side on paper is probably the poorest we could put out, particularly the midfield, just screams Swindon 0 to me.
