Its not though is it? The thing that annoys me the most is that the play staff is give or take one or two is the same as last year. Why have they become so bad? I said 15 games for Malpas but today I was expecting an improvement after the last two results and the fans were much more supportive today. I think only 3 straight wins will save him now. |

The crowd were well up for it from the off today and the sun was blazing like fuck, making ideal conditions for a home match in anyones language. No reason then for the players to revert back to shitting themselves like frightened fucking virgins trapped in a lift with Fred West! As sorry as I feel for Maurice Malpas on a human level - it's fucking shit for anyone to lose their job in these uncertain times - I do think that he's had a fair crack at getting us going since Fitton first appointed him but he has continually failed to impress. Talk is cheap. Post match interviews are full of positive shit if you've won, and totally the opposite if you've lost. It's all bullshit when compared and contrasted against real results. You're either doing the business or you're a cunt. Simple in any walk of life. I think Fitton will have a couple of sleepless nights off the back of today's non event, then he'll take stock and acknowledge that for whatever reason he got his first major appointment wrong. I'll ignore the shit in the press about him backing Malpas or anyone else. He knows that arses on seats and commercial income will ultimately make or break his revival plans for Swindon. I reckon that anything or anyone that gets in the way of that will be jetisoned rapidly - including Malpas. Fitton wont want to lose face publicly though, so Malpas could be retained 'upstairs'. Fucking interesting week ahead  |
