Every radio station is coming from glastonbury this year.  Radio's 1, 5 and 7 all reporting regularly.  Frankly its all getting on my tits!  Radio 1 seem to think glastonbury didnt exist without them.  Which it did.  It got worse when they came along.

Jackos death has give them something else to talk about which is a relief.

Havent been since 2004 (when I rather disgraced myself with due to jamesons whisky) and probably wont go again.

God Im a grumpy old tosser arent I.

No, you're spot on.

Going back to the mid/late 90s you could wander into replay records in Bath a week before and buy a ticket over the counter...the beeb have fucked that royally - i've not been since the pre-regesitration bollocks has been in place. Still, every year I think "Fuck, wish I was there".

I first went in 86 when tickets were £15.  And you could still get them in the pubs surrounding pilton on the day.  Mind you I was a bit of a pussy actually buying a ticket.  My mates used to find there way in one way or another.

The talky bits on BBC are, but the music isn't, for which I am grateful. The death of Michael Jackson is not the world changing event some people seem to think it is.

Watching Maccabees at the moment, good stuff.

Michael Jackson's death is big news within music - simple as that.

Bands are at Glastonbury to big themselves up though, not a recently departed musician.

Like him or not, the media will annoy the world until the funeral (and maybe beyond).

I see a 10 year old has contracted swine flu at Glastonbury.

Its not the 60's anymore, a few hippies in a field. Its a full on festival, worth millions so they cram everyone in, far too many people with not enough water, toilets etc.

Kids shouldnt have to be in squalor like that, just so their parents can go to a festival. What do 10 year olds know about music anyway? Sometimes its the same with football as well. Not all grounds, not all games and not all stands are familly friendly. Common sense.

Take the kids to the beach. Not Glastonbury.

Spot On!

When the local news were interviewing people at Glastonbury on Friday there was a Woman who had her 1 year old Daughter with her! It's selfish to put someone that young into that environment just because YOU want to go to the Festival.

Nonsense ,Glastonbury is  a great place for kids.Ive not been for a few years mind but I believe there is a family Camping area and as for getting Swine Flu thats just as likely to happen in Birmingham as it is at Glastonbury.

Agree with Yeovil here. If he is now showing symptoms of swine flu then it is highly likely he contracted it before going.

I know festivals are for everyone to enjoy but if I was to moan about one type of U.K. festival goer it would be GCSE finishers. They're too hyper Smiley

Damon Alburn is wearing the same shirt from when I saw them the other night. A tragic faux-pas Smiley

I'm watching Blur at the mo - this entire Glasto (Pyramid stage anyway) seems to have been an exercise in time travel.  Was drunk last night watching The Boss.
