Blur would be great and I think is very likely since they're playing some big shows next year. I would hope they wouldn't be stupid enough to book take that and if they did hopefully they will be greeted with a delluge of bottles of piss in a Daphne and Celeste style.

I see the recession isn't affecting the acne and angst riddled middle class youth of our nation. The cost of tickets is enormous....when I first went it was a free, or a few bob.

Last time I went, a couple of years ago I think, the crowd was mainly middle class 30-somethings. Weird. I think they were all crossing it off the 'things to do before you're forty and die' list.

Last time I went I didn't even notice anyone else, apart from the naked hippies.
That is how I roll.

I like the crowds at Glasto always a good mix and very rarely a sniff of trouble. I was going to hit a few of the events across Europe but the Euro has put paid to that for now.
£150 squid odd is a tad steep although certainly worth it for 5 nights worth of shenanigans.

It is, of course, the only place on Earth where I'll go for a dirty and then feel guilty for leaving my turd lying there in such squalor.
A couple of years ago I almost lost my wallet - containing a decent amount of cash and my plastics - down the long drop.

It does seem a little excessive but its kept in line with the cost of gigs, first time I went it was about £12, but a gig ticket then would be about £3. To see a decent headline band now it is probably about £40 so £150 to see all the bands etc there is good value in that context. I really didn't care that much about who was headlining when I used to go a lot it was all about the "atmosphere"

agree on the value for money, i worked out that i'd paid about £10 per act, which is incredible value considering you'd pay four times that to see the big headliners.
that and the fact you get to see the artists festival performances, which are one offs and usually better than standalone gigs.

The Boss has today been officially confirmed as headliner.
Kanye West is strongly rumour to be performing too, as well as forum favourites Fleet Foxes and Duffy.
Is 2010 going to be a fallow year?
