TOWN striker Blair Sturrock has been offered then chance to kick-start his career on trial at League Tow Bournemouth. Sturrock, down in the pecking order of County Ground frontmen, has headed to the south coast ahead of a possible loan move to the Cherries, now bossed by former Town manager Jimmy Quinn. http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/display.var.2451027.0.sturrocks_cherries_chance.phpNowt against Blair Sturrock, but if him or Pook leaving will allow another player to come in then it's good.

I am going to be controversial here and suggest that even with all his faults i think he may have been a better option than peacock coming off the bench this season and maybe stretching the defence a bit.
Good luck to him always tried hard
12mnths i think Rich

Blair really hasn't put a foot wrong since his old man left, he got his head and and did well when selected. I agree with DRS I would rather have Blair on the bench than Peacock as substitute striker, as he is a better forward than LP.

Corr will replace Peacock as the attacking option off the bench, so Sturrock will be more redundant. The reason I asked is that it's highly doubtful we'll get a fee for him, unless he blitz' League 2. He's on a decent wage I'm sure too and Bournemouth will struggle to match it.

Pook's gone in the summer regardless... I cannot believe he's happy to fight his way into a team where he's been told he's not welcome. Admire his drive to succeed perhaps... but he's got nowhere thus far and it will be affecting his chances of a move elsewhere.

It's a good move for the lad i wish him well and Im sure he will do fine as he's a hard worker, like someone said it's a good move for him and us.
It's a crying shame he hasn't got a bit more skill.

Bournemouth are still 4 wins from reaching zero points, their form is sporadic... I believe they will survive relegation - and it's a great opportunity for Sturrock to knuckle down and be appreciated as a footballer and not the son of the manager.

I'd agree. I thought Blair always did alright here and worked the channels well. The problem when he played up front was when he drifted out wide no one made up the numbers in the box so he ended up going backward or crossing into a box with 5 defenders and 1 striker.
