When
Has is no captain, it was a bad decision from the outset.
If you cant motivate from the front you are going to be nowhere, I have not seen him ever do that, you need a nasty hard rusty nail.

Word.

Jamie Vincent should captain.

He seemed to get it by default.

Still another thing to put on that glittering 'Championship' standard CV of his.

A CV he'll be touting about in January in order to jump ship no doubt.

Yep, didn't seem like the players lacked determination, or team spirit...........

Amen, no silly choreographed celebrations.

Just getting together as a team to celebrate a good goal.

Just watched the highlights, from those it seems like we should have won it, Timlin and Paynter missing good chances.

Just watched the highlights, from those it seems like we should have won it, Timlin and Paynter missing good chances.

For what its worth as someone who saw them on saturday for the 1st time this season, we play some really nice football but seem to lack cutting edge, the ball is pinged from right to left through the midfield, but then reaches the edge of their area and ultimately ends up back with our centre half - its just that breaking midfielder we seemed to lack?

At the back especially in the first half we seemd to totally lack confidence, Jack Smith especially seemed terrified of giving the ball away and then played simple passes which he ballsed up! Amankwaah looked pretty poor and one dimensional in the first half, however he was a marauding football god in the second half and terrified them.

Less said about the little argument with the skipper, although I had forgotten what utter crap some of our supporters come out with. The whole shouting about Malpas being an idot and taking Cox  off..... he was so obviously knackered as were most of the playerss on both sides - I think the heat really surprised them!

Oh and much as I admire Lee Peacock, less said about his cameo the better.

I can't even remember if he touched the ball.

Fair play Kev07! Good to hear from someone who hasn't had to put up with a couple of poor home displays and took Saturday on face value.  Not as bad as one of my mates who went up and watched it, he came back severely peeved off.

He had about 5 touches, none of which went to one of our players!!

It was quite funny though, as when we walked into the ground he was stood at the edge of the pitch leaning over the hoardings just chatting to a few supporters. I was with about 10 mates (it was my stag do in Manchester - I made them come to the match) who all tend to either hate football or support premier teams, they honest didn't believe me when I said he was an actual first team player just having a chat - shows the gulf between D3 and 1st div.

Didn't do that, they do my head in.

Watched the town, who kindly avoided totally depressing me, went and had a bite to eat then out and about round Didsbury into a club and back to hotel for about 4.30am... which was great! The fact that flights into manchester (hotel right under flightpath) started at about 6ish was less great!
