Lets just see.

I know the Ferguson comparisons drive people mad (he was 3 time SPD Champion and had beaten Real Madrid in CWC before taking over Man Yoo). But things really did just turn on a sixpence for him with Mark Robins goal at Nottingham Forest FA Cup.

Maybe someone can do that for us in the JPT and we wont look back?

Micheal, Sturrock had Byrne and Williams as well as his own staff remmember? And a decent goalkeeping coach.

The most absurd thing in that post is thinking that anything in the JPT matters one iota. Cheesy

Aljofree........you naughty boy, i agree that some of our fans are stupid but aljofree should know better than to give it back, you could clearly hear what he said, you shouldn't react no matter what a fan or two were saying.

We played ok today but we were not great, i was bemused that peacock came on for cox, also i thought mcnamee should have come on for at least the last 20 minutes as we could have really gone for the win but bringing him on seconds from the end? what's the point?

We must play better next week because millwall are on fire at the moment.

The thing about Ifil is that he is not the kind of player that can just shrug of a howler because he is a confidence player.

My train of thought is that he has not been 'dropped' per say, but he has been pulled out of the limelight so that he can concentrate on training and stuff to get his head right again.

Don't get me wrong that I am defending Ifil to much because he is experienced enough to deal with it himself, but he just ain;t that kind of player/person. Hence the reason he is playing in the 3rd tier.

It irritates me that Ifil has to be wrapped in cotton wool but if that is what it takes to get him to his brilliant best then so be it.

You taking the piss?

You think getting to Wembley wouldnt matter? If we hang in there you will be glad of it I assure you because I dont think the league will provide any excitement in the new year besides an away trip to leicester.

Another thing I do like about Malpas was that he slated our attitude towards the cups.

On Aljofree, he may not be Shaun Taylor but he's not as bad as people make out. I am not sure he should be captain though, unless he has the worlds quietest voice he doesn't seem to talk much.

Batch I'll disagree with you even if it is wine induced. Aljofree is worse than most people make out. The only time he does open his mouth is to slag off his team mates or the ref. He is in no way a captain or a leader. Despite Malaps talking about no scaprgoats Ifill looks to fit the bill. I think they were both culpable against Leeds. Its almost like he's untouchable. It looksl ike its building up to a Gurney at 'nam incident which is the most toxic I've seen between fans / players.

Hertha - I'm also a mong. I will support my team for 90 minutes. I won't slag the players or manager for the 90 minutes but for God's sake nobody at STFC should be above criticism. I've given Malaps a chance as I have others but he's got to go. Some people will be quicker off the mark than others and others will be more vociferous. I don't accept that our fans are cunts - they are pussy cats compared to most - eg Slave Traders which is why the slimy Greek Cypriot cunt got away with things for so long.

In the long run the "mong" with his face painted is probably right but is a pratt.

Totally agree, though haven't always subscribed to this opinion.

Look at the list of JPT winners (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_League_Trophy#Past_Finals) and for the most part you have teams who gain promotion within a few seasons. A good side wins that trophy, which is why we should want to be competitive in it.

If you read my posts Chalkie, you'll see that from your post above I don't think you're a mong!

Our fans were so quiet today, there was no atmosphere, the thing i don't like with malpas is his tactics and questionable substitutions, if he had gone for it we could have won the game, i thought cox done well and was a bit surprised when he went off, peacock done nothing when he came on, he shouldn't have taken cox off but he should have least put mcnamee on and not peacock.

The problem is going for it and getting caught on the break. Away from home the most important thing is not to lose.

Weve done well. Im almost glad its been at home weve made mistakes this season.

Because last season there was nothing away from home, and it seemed like Fitton just brushed it off with his statement about the mentality of our fans.

He had a point, but it was a harsh thing to say. Was pretty miserable on the road after Walsall last season.
