A quick look at the map shows Milton Franchise as being quite a bit bigger.  Surprised myself when I checked it out.  (Yes, I am that sad.)

Milton Keynes Town (as they are cos they arent a City despite what they may tell you) has a poplutation of @186,000.

Plymouth the City has a popultion of @246,000

Kingston Upon Hull has a population of @257,000

Swindon in comparison has a population of @155,000

But these are based purely upon population of the City/town itself not the non-metropolitan district, which puts MK a little ahead of the muff.

Just a bit of Trivia..biscuit men of Reading comes from the Huntly and Palmer biscuit makers who were the main employers in Reading for alot of years....there is now a museum ware the factory was showing the life of a biscuitman!

Going back to The Royals, which football club have always been called The Royals, they were formed before Reading.
