I had a look Rich and tickets seemed about 20 quid for that one.

Yeah, I've had a looksy too. I've only gone to SJP once since moving here... I've been to Sunderland a couple more because it's cheaper. I prefer Non-League game up here though.

At least with Ashley, he was Newcastle fan.  It worries me to think that more of these oil merchants and the like will come in and turn the Premiership into a joke financially.

He is/was a Chelsea fan.

Couldnt get more of a joke than NUFC. Complete joke.

As for all the arabs and stuff, it wont last.

These Arabs who have taken over Man City... rather than spend, what, £200million on buying the club and then £500m on filling the team full of superstars, wouldn't it have been cheaper to just go and buy Man United?!

Yeah, I was pretty sure Ashley wasn't a Toon fan.

The issue is clearly the board that includes Dennis Wise.

In a nutshell it was always going to end in tears with that structure at NUFC.

It's not so much the structure, but the personnel. What record has Wise got when it comes to getting players in, beyond giving all his mates jobs? He seems more of a manager-in-waiting than a director of football or whatever they ended up calling him.

Fair enough. Dennis Wise would be in charge by now if he wanted it... Good lordy it would go mental if he took control!

Mike Ashley said the policy at the club is to buy good young players on the cheap, turn them into great players and sell them for big profit, basically what Wenger did with Anelka etc. So Dennis Wise sells Milner who is their best young player and Keegan says he wants to sign Beckham Henry and Lampard Smiley

Dennis Wise soon left Leeds when he realised Poyet was the key to his coaching and tactics

They paid £4m for Milner and sold him for £12m. Good bit of business there really.
