Talking of the 7,000 attendances......as thats the figure that is mentioned as pretty much our break even figure I did a bit of research, yes I was very bored!
If we keep up this average attendance it will be the first time since the Premier League season that we have never had less than 7,000 at a game (yes I know its early in the season but I am feeling unusually optimistic!)
Over the last 20 season (league games alone) these are the figues I discovered, with the equivalent divison as it is now has been stated.
07-08 1st Division we had 15 games under 7,000
06-07 2nd Division we had 13 games under 7,000 (promotion season)
05-06 1st Division we had 19 games under 7,000 (relegation season)
04-05 1st Division we had 22 games under 7,000
03-04 1st Division we had 10 games under 7,000 (play off season)
02-03 1st Division we had 20 games under 7,000
01-02 1st Division we had 15 games under 7,000
00-01 1st Division we had 17 games under 7,000
99-00 Championship we had 13 games under 7,000 (relegation season)
98-99 Championship we had 1 game under 7,000
97-98 Championship we had 4 games under 7,000
96-97 Championship we had 1 game under 7,000
95-96 1st Division we had 1 game under 7,000 (championship winning season)
94-95 Championship we had 1 game under 7,000 (relegation season)
93-94 Premiership season our lowest crowd was 11,940 (relegation season)
92-93 Championship we had 1 game under 7,000 (promotion season)
91-92 Championship we had 1 game under 7,000
90-91 Championship we had 0 games under 7,000
89-90 Championship we had 2 games under 7,000 (promotion/relegation season)
88-89 Championship we had 5 games under 7,000

Namned naughties, we were doing so well in the 90's but they year 2000 came along didn't it. STFC, the only victim of the Y2K bug.
Had we have known then what we know now we wouldn't have partied like it was 1999.

But the corollary of your point means that Prince couldn't have partied like it was 1999. How could he, he didn't know what 1999 was like so couldn't replicate it in his partying other than by using pure guesswork. Unless he had a time machine. |
