They make these illegal approaches and then moan like fuck when other clubs do it to them (e.g. Ronaldo & Real Madrid).

Owen Hargreaves being a classic example

spurs were complaining all day that they hadn't exepted a fee, nor given manu permission to talk to berbatov.
after the deal was done they shut up.man u paid them to shut them up.without spurs making a complaint it wont be followed up now.
not to sure someone must have gave them permission or man utd wouldnt have had talks with him

Berbatov flew to Manchester of his own accord, possibly saying that he was having talks with Man City (Who had a bid accepted) and was picked up/kidknapped according to what you read by Alex Ferguson at the airport and driven to Carrington.

and spurs are saints aren't they?! They bought bostock for nothing despite jordan not wanting to sell at Palace. Everyone's at it, that's football, sadly.

And you think spurs are blameless in this?

Why do you think they accepted a bid from city in the first place? Because it was the best way they'd get United to hurry the deal through and for more money. They had no intention of selling him to City whatsoever. It was all played in public to make sure United paid over £30m.

United offered £26m, they get an extra four. cnutish but good business.

90% of people running top flight football clubs are idiots, all as bad as each other.

Eh, that doesn't make sense. They had to offload a player who didn't want to play for them. Of course they accepted Man City's offer because they wanted the money, no matter who it was from.
