Parkin would be perfect, at the moment we only really have two 'proper' strikers in Cox & Paynter. Corr is always a worry due to the injuries, Peacock hasnt got what it takes to play up top anymore and has played in midfield this season. Sturrock isnt wanted, Joycey is still a baby and Jake Hyde isnt even considered for the 1st team

yes good idea so lets buy Sam Parkin when we are already over budget and pay him 5k a week to warm the bench and play 10 mins at the end of games instead of strengthening areas that need it.

If Luton want any chance of staying up I very much doubt it. If they sell Parkin they are pretty much selling their league position.

Where has this magical 5k number come from?

Our strikers at the mo are Cox, Paynter, Corr, Peacock, Sturrock, Joyce. I'd hardly call that a top heavy squad.

When you consider Corr is always injured and Joyce is still very young that just leaves Cox, Paynter, Peacock & Sturrock. One or two of them get injured and then your short.

I'm sure if you look through the division there are plenty of teams with more strikers than we have. I think Southend have about 9 of them!

Anyway, Gaz no one is saying Parkin will come back BUT to dismiss even the possibility is wrong because this is football and if we really wanted Parkin would could get him back.

Dont care what Fitton said in an interview months ago, its Malpas' team.....

Two Parkin's up front for Preston?

I doubt Luton will sell whoever wants him - not until January at least.

how is it not an option?

Parkin is a footballer, we are a football club.

No matter how unlikely its not impossible that a football club could sign a football player is it?

I think you've been interpreted like this: "WE MUST SIGN PARKIN" as opposed to what, I think, the point you're trying to make!
