Forest Green and Salisbury both had pretty good starts to the season.  Would like to see those two edge their way into the football league, especially as they are close to home!

Oxford are already 8 points adrift of top teams (I know its early days) but not the kind of position I'd want to be in for non league so early on!  Anyone particularly hoping for any of the below for promotion back into the football league>?

1 Forest Green 6 5 13

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 Mansfield 6 4 13
3 Cambridge Utd 6 4 13
4 Salisbury 6 2 12
5 Wrexham 6 9 11

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6 Burton Albion 6 4 11
7 Weymouth 6 2 11
8 Crawley Town 6 6 10
9 Kettering 6 3 10
10 Barrow 6 2 10
11 York 6 2 10
12 Ebbsfleet United 6 4 9
13 Eastbourne Borough 6 -3 9
14 Kidderminster 6 2 8
15 Rushden & D'monds 6 1 8
16 Histon 6 0 8
17 Oxford Utd 6 -3 5
18 Torquay 6 -4 5
19 Altrincham 6 -5 5
20 Stevenage 6 -9 5

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

21 Grays Athletic 6 -4 4
22 Northwich 6 -6 2
23 Lewes 6 -11 2
24 Woking 6 -5 1

Not really fussed who goes up as long as it isn't Oxford or Ebbsfleet.

They should really make it 3 up 3 down between the conference and the football league.

I agree, but you must have four sides to your ground to get promoted!!!

Salisbury would be great for me - it is closer than the County Ground if we ever end up in the same league.

I would like to see Altrincham come up because I have a mate who lives there, and there is a really good pub by his house.

Don't care. Hopefully we won't be playing them next season anyway.

I'd like to see Barrow back in the league for nostalgic reasons, think they got voted out back in about 72 although i could be wrong.

Why?

It's the non-league, not league 3 (or division 5).  One up plus a play off place is more than adequate.

I maybe in a minority here but i would like to see the pox back up,its not really the same without them, dont get me wrong i hate the cunts but it always generated a good atmosphere even if it was hostile, plus the fact it gave us better revenue and was good for travel wise.

If any game got the players and fans to respond it was those games.Swindon V Cheltenham just aint the same.A game against the pox now would certainly wet the appetite for a lot of fans.

I missed the CG fixture in 2000...the last one, as I was coaching my kids football team.
He's now adult.  The previous game was just about 10 years ago when we won 4-1.

So I now regard O*ford as a bit of an irrelevance...don't care either way whether we play them or not.

Oh and I agree with Bedford...Barrow were voted out purely on geography, they finished 3rd bottom...so they deserve to get back.

I think as time passes it will be a irrelevant, especially for the younger fans who wouldt know what a local derby against the pox would be like,I think that in its self is a shame' or am i just being a bit nostalgic.

leefer point taken about championship teams, the one i would look forward to would be the southampton one.
