He's finally quit then.
Wise for manager?
Tis my day off tomorrow, if I go down town I'll have to walk past their ground en route... If anyones watching TV I'll be the one in the background, easy to spot because I'll be the only one without my trousers being tucked into my socks and lacking a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale in my hand.

He's a bit of a knob, as soon as Mort left it started going downhill. Sir Bobby Robson always said a chairman should be dignified, wear a suite be the face of the football club - Ashley wore a replica shirt and drank pints in view of the masses. Most would be okay with that, but Ashley isn't a Newcaslte supporter and all it looks is false.

I think old Ashley has dropped a bollock or two there by letting keegan walk. Not only has he sacked the messiah (he’s not the messiah…) in the eyes of the Toon “army” he was probably the only man they would have stuck by for a season of lower table shenanigans.
Wise is onto a hiding for nothing in that role and pretty much any manager worth their salt is not going to have a sniff. I am interested to see what odds Curbishley’s got on the job though. Out of the frying pan into the fire and after West Ham he can carry pretty much carry on at the Toon as he left off at the Hammers

wouldnt suprise me if Keegan wanted out and Ashley wanted rid of Keegan but both to scared to have to pay each other the £2million, so Ashley prob gave Keegan a few hundred grand to say he resigned rather than all the stick Ashley would get by sacking Keegan

400 protestors? Useless geordies, the trust had that many out easily, and that's from crowds of 6000.

I love how the media how making it sound like loads of protesters are still out there - but really they're just getting pissed up at Shearers Bar.

Do you think Wise sits in an office...I think he probably sits at home, has Gus round for a couple of cevezas to watch Sky Spanish football, and despatches Jimenez to conduct the deal.
