The MK website describes our game plan as expansive, swashbuckling and organised. Can't disagree with that.

What did everyone make of the ground? I would like to think that Fitton had a good look around and picked up some ideas for any future development down here. The open concourse, for example, was good. Lack of any kind of scoreboard or clock as not so good (unless it was above our heads, I didn't look).

I'd make a good architect I think.

Basically, there were about 10-15 Town fans having a right go at Alojofree at one stage in the first half and he made a hand gesture to them (not the wanker sign, just the 'you talk too much' kind of sign)

Football fans make me laugh though. One minute they're gobbing off all sorts of obscenities then they get the tiniest of reactions from the player and the next minute it's "Ooooh, you shouldn't be doing that to your own fans.....oooooh, fuck me I'm mentally scarred for life....ooooh, your worse than Hitler you are" Shut the fuck up please.

It's cringeworthy when your fans have a go at a player like that. It just was not called for. And it's not as if it's going to make him play better is it?

Wankers.
Agreed!!  There are a section of fans who seem to want to pick on one player and when something goes wrong the masses seem to follow.  Pook for example, has not been as bad as some make out (never going to be an an above average player), at the start of the season it was Paynter's turn for the idiots to turn against - his goals and overall play soon shut them up.   Now it appears to be Hasney who they want to write about and shout at.  And what the hell was the booing about, we were away from home - not played that well - but holding a team who could well be somewhere in the shake-up, and as our second-half performance showed we did enough!

Next away game Im going to video record the reception the team get at the HT whistle.  Im then going to post it on here and hopefully shame those who dare to boo.

These morons are so spineless they won't even admit who they were or the reasons for doing so.

Maybe I was just too busy sunbathing.

I will pay closer attention in future.

I thought Smith did a good job in goal, he saved us from some certain goals. The rest of the defense looked more solid than it has done. Hard to fault anyone really, well except for the corner. Jack Smith coped well on the left and credit where it is due, looked more solid defensively and still just as good going forward. Casal did fine and Amanwaah was solid when he had to come on. Ifil and Aljofree seemed to work well together.

I feel that the difference yesterday was that we definitely had more fight about us. Having Easton in there helped, albeit on the right hand side, but his energy and work rate was great. Thought Nalis looked a hell of a lot more battling than he has done. Timlin broke up the play well, just a shame he couldn't do much with the ball. McNamee had a decent enough game without being amazing. Marshall did really well when he came on and looks to be a decent impact sub at the moment. I'm not sure if McGovern has done something to piss Malpas off, but I was surprised he wasn't involved at any stage.

Paynter and Cox are definitely forging a great striking partnership. I know there is a lot of talk about Barry Corr being better than Paynter, but if these two keep playing well together he's going to find it hard to get a look in.

We do need to work on set pieces though, defending we look bad, attacking not much better.

Overall absolutely delighted with the win and hope we can carry the momentum forward to our next away games.

People who travel and pay to watch their football clubs will always reserve the right to boo if they so wish. Even, nay, especially if they are idiots!

I cannot see the logic in booing the team at H-T when not even losing and not playing that badly - but that's just me!

Im not saying they don't have the right etc.  Im saying at half time, away from home at 0-0 is just moronic!

Yup, and I agree with you. People doing/saying ridiculous things at football is part of the matchday experience... I remember as a kid listening to middle-aged men slagging of the team during the game and thinking "what are you chatting on about".

In 40 years of supporting Swindon I have never booed or slagged off a player wearing a Swindon shirt. You talk to the guys and girls around you about your feelings about poor performances, but why slag off the team you love, it amazes me sometimes why some fans even bother to come to matches.

Agreed Dell Boy,i atually came to blows when an idiot was slagging Duke off constantly and coming out with comments that were poison,i cant nderstand it because if you slag one player your slagging the team because that one person is part of the unit, anyone booing the team can fuk of in my humble opinion...we can all air our views on forums and newspapers these days 7 days a week so lets at least give the players 90 mins support while there playing.
