We'd struggle to put out a firm of 35 these days especially as Bormuff caused a bit of a cull this season. The CGH has lost its aura without the old hard bastards in there. If they get off they will only get done for something else though!!! Its impossible to sustain, they might be working that out for themselves soon.

I think as Yeovil said, the fact we haven't played them for years is what makes it interesting. It has allowed a lingering dislike to fester over the years.

I went to Priestfields in 1986, it was great, we won 3-1 The Gills fans were lobbing coins at us, which was nice cos it was just after christmas and I was a bit skint.

I would consider Didcot (yes Didcot) a more expensive drink than London. A pint of premium usually costs well into £2.80-£3, but youre drinking in a small town run down pub with loosers (usually old crap beer too). At least if you pay £2.80 in London you get a decent bar. Truth is chain pubs like Wetherspoons and Goose are the only places to get a truly cheap nowadays and they are EVERYWHERE in London. Shit independent locals in the south charge big prices. But £30 match ticket? Bloody hell! At least Gills will have everyone moaning on their board instead of our myonlyswindon.com JIB the train, SCAB yer drinks, JUMP the fence ROB the services!!!!!!!! WHATEVER IT TAKES IL BE THERE!!!! Last season I got to Newcastle (by train) for £7 its one of the greatest achievements of my life. :\/

That is a very good effort Spencer, seeing as it costs 40 quid up to nottingham, around 70 to york and newcastle is a fair way away from that! My mate got done by the transport police for trying to get away with being 15 when he was 17 nearly got himself arrested but had to pay 80 quid instead.

I bought tickets from Didcot to Banbury and Birmingham to Derby. Best thing was the train was rammed solid (friday 5pm) from Birmingham all the way to Newcastle hundreds of these poor bastards who had forked out ££££££ for a ticket, standing crushed in the idles. I had a toothbrush and about 5p (no ticket) on my person and I got a seat for 300 miles!!!! (Im a cunt).
I forked out £60 for a ticket to Tranmere this season. Had a train break down. Never got a table seat and was generaly crushed by glory hunting plastic Liverpool fans from Stafford onwards. Plus on a very sombre note there was the worry of the Newbury train crash later that same day. Thereby declared Id rather take a loss of £40 a week hiring a minibus then travel with that sack of shit (virgin) ever again. Il only travel GWR and GNER, the rest of them can fuck off.
