I think he is well overrated to be truthful Sonic, just does not have the pace to be top draw.

Good news for the general rule though, that any game  on the box should have at least one ex STFC loan player...or maybe an ex assistanrt manager or something on display.

The Newcastle base is already covered by Given.

Saha to Everton ... this must put Lucas well down the line.
Malpas get him on loan, you know it makes sense.

he's a good player, perhaps not top class but he's talented with an awesome work ethic.

Wise will just stick the nut on him surely, Newcastle do look in for a season of relegation struggles, the have only bought about 1 or 2 players and Owen always seems to be injured as well

I wonder if Mr Wise has been promised the managers job if Keegan leaves?

Dunno if Wise was Keegans appointment or the board....either way smells fishy selling one of your stars behind the anagers back.

Rumours at the time were that it wasn't Keegans doing. They came out with some "he has been consulted.."  statement didn't they? I assumed that to mean he was told it was happening and tough shit if he didn't like it.

what? the players Newcastle have bought in thus far look pretty decent and Owens scored 2 already this season and he hasnt started a game yet?

If any 'established' team are going to be dragged down into a relegation scrap it will be West Ham.

Agree with Dv,Dell Lukas has been involved in every game so far this year and with saha and vaughan they have 2 very injury prone strikers.

I think the point I was making was that they have not bought in many players, and although Owen has scored 2 I don't think he has started a game yet ?

Let Newcastle get a few injuries and they will struggle as they have not got a big squad.

I can't see Keegan lasting past Christmas

I agree about West Ham as well, they seem to be having a fire sale there  - I thought it was funny with Hammers fan's singing to Curbishley "your getting fired in the morning"

James Milner is top quality, and will get better playing under a good manager at a good club
