Death of a local legend

Reported today that Charlton legend of the 50s died this week,Buck Ryan was living in Lynham at the time was playing for Bradenstoke v Swindon High Street Club when spotted playing by a Charlton scout.He turned pro at 23 and proceded to bang in goals galore,includind the winner in a 7 -6 win which was amazing for the fact Charlton were 5-1 down at half time...this goal is probably Charltons most famous ever not suprisingly.Played for Newcastle after before returing to Lyneham and went back cooking for the RAF without many realisng what a cult hero he was.Is always nice to see a local person have there there moment and he certainly did.
