I recognise the name, but I don't really know what he's done. Can someone give me a rundown of the decisions he's made and why they thing they've been good? Thankyou.

Was it his fault that we fucked about for so long post getting rid of sven?

And this is breaking news on Sky, some suit has agreed to leave and it gets coverage like that?  No wonder the FA suits think so much of themselves.  Who was the head of the FA that appointed Alf Ramsey or Bobby Robson?  (without looking it up).

Did he quit or is he being made redundant?

The credit crunch strikes again.

Meh, fact is we don't have the players to do the job. But last night was back to the bad old days with no progress made - the scoreline glosses over the performance.

Absolutely. England just are not producing decent players anymore. WE are putting faith into players who IMO just arent up to the task.

Rooney is not a natural goal scorer so why is he playing up front? Lampard is shit, Beckham as much as I like him is probably past it.

Personally I'd play the Under 21's in senior matches and look towards Euro 2012.

Yep, have to accept at some point that it's not going to matter who's manager. You're going to have to be a pretty influential bloke to overcome the disinterest of a bunch of players who aren't as good or important as they're constantly being told they are by the majority of other sources.

Who's responsible for England underachieving? It's the fans and the tabloid coverage we buy into to. We've got the England team we deserve.

He needs a result in Zagreb...0-0 would do very nicely.  A defeat and knives will be out.

It's a shame that you're probably right about your latter point.

Czech Republic are better than us, as are Croatia. Anyone who seriously expects us to beat sides of this caliber needs a reality check.

It will take more than a few meaningless friendlies for Fabio to make us into the kind of team that can compete at the highest level.
