Good move i'd say. Can play a couple of positions and has bags of experience for what can be a shaky defence.

Meh. Silvestre can continue riding the Premiership gravy train for a couple more years on megabucks - he's not that great but has experience, which I guess that Wenger chap is after.

couldnt believe it when i got the text with this news.
a back-4 in desperate need of a signing... and i think silvestre is perfectly adequate at worst. he wont get in ahead of clichy. so im thinking he's being lined up for a centre half berth alongside toure.

apparently Wenger called while he was having a medical at Man city. I think it is a good move for him. he is better than Senderos.

Not a bad player. If he remains fit could prove vital to arsenal but their gunan get no where near the title! They mayeven struggle for top four spot.

I still don't think he's as bad as what people say. He's not AC Milan good but there have been far worse Arsenal players under Wenger I'm sure.

Great signing.
He is a Man Yoo reject. But I bet Wenger gets more out of him than anyone else.
