Do we want an injury prone striker?

Go for him seeing as he's free scoring again. I miss that chant

Spot on yeovil. Yes he scored a load of goals for us, but that was in the past. If he was still good, he wouldn't be in league. Do we want an injury prone striker?

No, we want one who will get us 20 goals a season...

Would love to see him wearing the town shirt again and scoring goals for us
But he has already said he wouldnt come back as it could effect is hero status at the club.

Although that loan deal idea would be very interesting Smiley

But lets face it not going to happen.Sad

Unfortunately DV i don't think Parkin can do that.

or it's at least not as guaranteed as people seem to think. It's a completely different side to the one he left, with a different set up all the way through the management of the club. There's no reason that he could come back and replicate his form more than a new player could, and with Super Sammy you'd be running the risk of ruining his Town time legacy.

Paynter and Cox look good, Corr (if he can get and stay fit) and Cox sounds exciting. And even if things aren't going well a couple of games down the road, I'd much prefer we risked a young hungry premier loanee/reject rather than an expensive injury prone former great who'd be coming here on the back of past glories. Even Blair could do a job somewhere, although however much I think people are harsh about him, I'm not quite sure where he'd fit at the moment.

Yeah, we might struggle if Cox does a vanishing act or gets injured, but Parkin isn't necessarily the answer to all our goal scoring needs, at best he's a very expensive risk, and that's just financially.
