Just want to add my tanners worth. All Paynter knocking will surely have to stop now-superb last night along with Cox.McNamee brilliant at times but I still feel we can expect a bit more.Jack Smith has surely made the right back slot his own.Morrison not yet ready for first team football.I agree mostly with what's been said about Casal-there is potential but at times last night looked clueless and the worrying thing is he's first choice but nowhere near the level needed.Timlin and Nalis fared well against superior players in mid field. This jury's still out on JPM.Aljofree wouldnt get in above a fit Kanyuka in my opinion and QPR didnt impress me enough to think they will be anywhere above mid table.Bloody enjoyable game and some of our football was exciting-with Ifil and Kanyuka back we should do well but left back is a big problem

It seems everyone's prepared to give Casal a chance to bed in, but it begs the question, what did the coaching staff see in the space of 3 days or less that the rest of us haven't? I hope someone digs this out in 6 months when he's on fire and has a laugh...

As I remember, after just a handful of games both Cox and Macnamee were judged to be poor signings by a fair amount of people on here. Give him a chance.

Last night shows what sort of matches we could get when we get into the Championship, really enjoyed it, apart from the final score!

Can anyone else remember Paul Bodin's first half a dozen games for Town after Macari signed him from Newport. Fucking shocking he looked. When Ossie sold Phil King and told the Adver that he wasn't looking to replace him because Bodin was "technically the better player" we all laughed our heads off. He turned out quite good though from what I remember.

That's right Lumps. However there was also Kim Heiselberg..... I think Casal has the physical attributes, including pace, which you can't coach. Lets hope that he will pick up the positional side quickly. If not I'm still happy with the stability offered by Vincent, at least until McNamee also steps up the defensive side of his game.

Kim Heiselberg, what a legend! Him on one side, Juan Cobian on the other, Tuemelo in the middle. Awesome team.

qpr fans seem to think we made some noise
Home fans made quite a bit of noise given the ground was open at the corners of the stadium, they were certainly louder than the home fans at Loftus Road were on Saturday (I was in the School End upper tier with a Barnsley supporting friend)

Mark Robertson wide right...we had a great team up at Tranmere that night...still needed Angus Stevland (or somesuch) to score for us.
