I can't imagine anyone in their right mind, including Billy Paynter, not agreeing with that.

Im in my right mind and im saying it.

I wish people would stop wanking over corr. Paynter and Cox had a fantastic game and infact I would put Joyce ahead of Corr anyway. Corr will no doubt be gone at the end of this season anyway...

im not saying Paynter have a great record, im simply pointing out Corr isnt a natural goalscorer which u claim he is

I said it on many occasions, Paynter does everything right, but doesn't find the net enough, good old fashioned centre forward from lower divisions.
Corr no side has probably ever seen the best of the lad, and probably never will because of his back injuries.

And what is Paynters goals per games ratio, not as good as Corrs I think you will find.

Barry Corr 57 games and 11 goals. 1 in every 5.18181818

Billy Paynter 227 games and 46 goals. 1 in every 4.93478261

Why will Corr be gone?

I think his contract is up at the end of the season, if his injuries keep occurring are we going to sign him to play 10 games and score 4 goals when we can get a certain Sam Parkin from Luton when they get relegated to the conference?

you have to judge players from this season not last or previous seasons.
Paynter has got 1 in 1, lets see how he does over the next 10, i think he will have 5/6

bearing in mind that not all of those games did Paynter play up front, ive seen many occasions for Southend when Billy played out wide on the right

Great news that we've got options up front, could careless who gets the support role as long as they perform, which they will have to otherwise they'll be sitting on the bench.

That also doesnt take into account sub appearences or what division those appearences were made in. Just gone purely for games played and goals scored. Not even im that sad to break it down any further.

What I will say though is I think Billy Paynter is the better player and has the better track record. He has a (slightly) better goals to game ratio than Corr (although the same if rounded up/down) but Paynter has made over 4 times the amount of appearences as Barry Corr and has kept his 1 in 5 average going over a longer period of time.

Paynter turned 24 in July and Corr turned 23 in April so its not like Paynter is alot older than Corr has just played more.

Corr could be the better of the two, however because he hasnt played many games he could have just had a purple patch. I dont think hes played enough games to prove it either way.

It all comes down to opinion.
Corr for me will score goals a plenty if fit, which is very unlikely.
Paynter is a workhorse will never be prolific, but there again Mark Hughes wasn't either for Man U.

It is just a personal preference, for me, a fit Corr before Paynter any day.

We all see things differently.

I agree with that totally on all points.
