This whole Bosman ruling thing is a load of crap and has messed football up. All it means is that tossers like Ferdinand can hold their club to ransom and demand massive wages otherwise they will threaten to leave for nothing. It also results in all the best players automatically going to the rich clubs coz they are the only ones that can afford their wages. so the big clubs are successfull and the smaller ones just get by on a pittance.

Bosman said that he was discriminated against because he wasnt allowed free movement within the European Union to find work. Football is not real work and he is a twat. Football clubs should own their players in the same way that I own my dog.

I knew a Dutch girl once and she was nothing but trouble this Marc Bosman is the same. If ever he comes round my way I will give him a slap. :fu

Blame the club he played for. Imagine having YOUR salary slashed whilst not being able to get another job.

The old rules were helping to prop up a lot of the lower leagues, but they were 40 years out of date. Seems unbelievable now, but until 1992 all the attendance money in all English divisions was put into a pot and shared out equally amoung the clubs. So for instance Oldham and Luton (when they were in the 1st div) got the same gate receipts as Man United. The football league scrapped it in 1995. In my opinion it was yet another case of the FL following the Premiership when it was wholly innapropriate.

Rant over.
