Man admits officer assualt
A man who sexually asssaulted a female police officer has been given a supervision order.
Daniel Hicks, 28, of Hailey Avenue, Chipping Norton, was arrested on March 26 while drunk, but not charged with anything.
However, Banbury Magistrates Court heard that while at a police station following his arrest, he approached a female officer from behind and hugged her in a way that could be interpreted as a "thrusting motion".
Hicks pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
Magistrates handed him a 12-month supervision order, £200 in fines and costs and placed him on the Sex Offenders Register for 5 years.
He will also have to attend 20 days employment education training and a sex offenders group.
