Having been working in Devon for 2 days was talking to some Torquay fans about the Pre season tournament involving themselfs Eastleigh, and Palace,Marshall was the outstanding player and player of the tournament so lets hope we snap him up....not really a gamble...incidently Eastleigh beat Torquay in the final on Pens,Marshall scoring one of them.

He was very good at Hampton, certainly worth a punt, be quite disappointed if we didn't a least give him a year.

At the end of the day he's gunna cost next to nothing and wont demand much of a wage, there's very little risk in offering him a one year deal, which is exactly what I think will happen

Agreed - is he under some sort of contract at Eastleigh - bah give em a friendly next Summer.

To begin with, he'd give a little bit more extra to come on in the latter stages of games.

He does sound like another attacking option we are lacking on the right, he seems to want to play for us, MM likes the look of him....I guess its all down to money now....how much he (or his agent) rates himself in the wages department.

He cant be on more than £300 a week playing part time at that level so a little extra wages wise will be enough, as he seems to want to break into the full time leagues.

I also read he got man of the match against Torquay having run them ragged, I guess it also comes down to wether any other teams come in with an offer for him as well.

I think we should take a gamble on a 12 month deal tbh.

Based only on the Pompey match (which is unfair) I say don't bother.

But he has to have something about him that I haven't seen.

I thought he did OK at the pompey game. I'd want to see him play again before offering a contract though.

whats the point?

we do this everytime... ben martin, lloyd opara, darren dykes, onibuje, mohammed... i could go on...in which the players are just not up to par, if he was anything special he wouldve showed it in the friendlies, nowhere near as good as what we've got let alone better.

In a way I agree, these 'development' players will only improve if they play regular football....which they dont for us. They sit in the reserves and dont progress.....

I havent seen alot of Marshall but unless hes ready to play first team football I'd be agaisnst signing him.

He looked good against Hampton, because that may be his level? Only suggesting, like...
