Apparently are trying to get the playing of both National Anthems banned prior to their game with Northern Ireland next month as they don't want to 'have to boo' GSTQ.  |

Scots dont like singing it....which suprises me when you think that thousands of there dads and grandads died fighting for the rite for them to live in there native country,God Save Our Queen is the UK anthem and if the Scots dont like it,well you cant have your cake and eat it....a scotsmans running the country for fuks sake!!!...well trying anyway.

To clarify, Scotland's anthem is Flower of Scotland and Norn Iron's is GSTQ. I know a few Norn Iron fans planning on going through to the game.

anthem will get pelters. Quite alot of discussion about it amongst Scotland fans at the moment. More importantly though is both sets of fans trying to get together to voice their opposition to Seb Coes stupid idea for a british olympic football team in 2012.

I think they should have a British football team but only bother with English players. Only British in name. If the other home nations don't want to be involved then it shouldn't ruin the fun for the rest of us. |

If its not got any other players then its not a british team is it? Why dont hey just split up the BOC finally and each nation can have their own olympic team. |

I'd boo God Save the Queen, but only because it's a dreadful song. How that song could motivate anyone is beyond me. Singing about some stupid ol' rich german bird.
The Italians and French have got it right as far as their anthems go, brilliant stuff.
Having said that FOS send shivers down my spine when Hampden and Murrayfield get it spot on!!

Yes it is. It is a team including the best Britains who are willing to take part. If the Olympic team selection committee people decided to only choose English players, THAT would stop it being a British team. The idea of a GB team makes me sick. I refuse to have any of england's over paid nancy boys represent me. If a GB team takes over I'd have to look to my great grandfather's Irish heritage for inspiration.
FIFA want a reduction in numbers in Europe and this is playing straight into their hands.
