I'd pretty poor at organising it. I'm never out of bed early enough to book the pitches for starters.

Swindon card does make it cheaper, I guess batch has one because he books the gay and proud games but I think some places are strict of having to be paid by the person on the card.

At Nationwide we used to have one card which we used to book our lunch time slot and any other slot any of us wanted. It must have been used by about 10 different people.

I don't have a Swindon Card so can't help out on that front.

I'm good for Monday, Wednesday and Sunday.

And where are we playing? Link Centre?

I reckon Link Centre, at least to start with to get the fitness levels up. Those pitches seem to do the trick on tiring your legs out.

I do think we should switch to the Oasis at a point though (as long as we have enough players) because going from the Link pitches to 11 a side will be a bit crazy.

Good idea.

Might be worth playing a couple of games either at Lydiard Park or Mannington Rec when the weather gets better to a) get used to playing on grass and b) get used to playing on a full size pitch.

I have one of the council Leisure Passport things for the gym and I think that counts as a Swindon Card to book pitches and that.

As the weather gets better it might be worth heading up to Lydiard I think.

When do you need the rest of the dosh by?

End of March, I'll be hassling before then, though.  Of course, if anyone who wants to send the money early that'd be fine. Smiley

If I book it, would any of you be up for Sunday at the link just as a kick around to start off? Probably indoors cos I don't much like their outdoor pitches.

It'd be lateish, not sure when they shut on Sunday mind.

Can't do the next couple of Sundays I'm afraid.

Steve I still haven't looked for my chequebook, but I'm going to have to hang fire anyway - not sure I will be able to make it now. I'll keep you posted.

Tails, are you organising booking an outdoor pitch when the weather gets better ? I could help you on that score if you're interested ?

I would like to mate, yes. It's quite easy to go down to Lydiard and have a kick around though!
