This tour is a perfect opportunity to look at European trialists - top quality opposition (even if it's Fenerbache reserves it'll be decent) and all that.

According to someone I know Oduro is from the Ivory Coast, not Ghana. And he is nowhere near the national side either!

Also, he has been released by his club so would be available on a free.

Akwasi Oduro (° 08/08/1987) is a Belgian defender of Ghanaian descent who currently plays for K.S.K. Beveren. He emigrated to Belgium when he was ten and started playing for Gierle and F.C. Turnhout. At the age of 14 he moved to Standard de Liège. In 2006 he moved to the first team of Beveren where he played 4 matches in his first season.

22 matches last season... off the top of my head there was 1 goal, 5 yellows and 1 red.

If he was flirting with either the Ghana or Ivory Coast national teams his agent would be looking for better than 3rd tier of English football for a trial.

Let's wait and see and hope he's decent.

and this Ghana football website thinks he's from their homeland too.

My person got the info from a scouting database.

Let's hope it's not the one Ken Ryder is using eh?

I have just watched the video on youtube and not that he seems quick and passes the ball along the floor. Entirely the opposite of Jamie Vincent there then.

Another thing I've discovered from watching this is that I think I prefer watching football with music playing, than having to listen to commentary.

Now i don't have a clue as to what level KSK Beveren play at, but after watching the video, he looks an awesome player!
As already said, Miguel Comminges Mk II? (Except a left footed version  Wink ) Snap him up!
This guy and Mcnamee on the left side would be a joy to watch imo.

It doesn't show you how bad he is though does it. He could have the marking abilitys of a blind man, and he could get sent off every other game. You wont know just by one best of video

Exactly - I take that sort of footage with a pinch of salt. Encouraging that YouTube doesn't have a "Oduro fiasco montage" though - he'd have a shitty agent if there was!

So what you're saying then is he'll probably fit like a glove?

Well apparently he's only played a handful of games, and at left back he'd only be on the ball a small amount each game, so by my reckoning this 8 minutes on youtube is his entire first team football career, and there are no bad bits.

Sign him up.

Dave i know what your saying but it shows hes quick, strong and powerful, he has good attributes, marking and positioning can be taught, (Assuming they are his weak points, altho Miguels positioning was poor and he was mint!)
Like Wenger does with the likes of Eboue and Diaby etc, they have the speed, strengh etc the good basic attributes then gets them playing how he wants his team to play
