I don't really want to talk about it. It upsets me Evidently! I'm surprised they got anyone at all, never mind two! The attackers came and went so quickly, and most victims were too busy covering up to really know what was going on.
And they closed the pub and kicked us all out because of it.

The only trouble I saw that day was outside the Queen Vic pub - Police had it sorted quite quickly.
When the trouble started we went to go inside the pub only to hear the door slam shut.
I then listened to a Rovers fan trying to convince a police officer that they were all Swindon fans fighting eachother :-))(

Bunch of Rovers stormed through through the pub garden fence, tooled up with baseball bats and smashed the buggery out of men women and children, all non-hooligan shirt wearing Swindon fans. Well that's what the reports say, I wasn't there.

As for Catona, bloody hoolie Trust me...it was terrifying. Never experienced anything like it in nearly 20 years watching football, and I hope I never do again. Pre-meditated thuggery and violence on a scale that I'd only previously seen in films. There was CCTV footage of the thugs gathering in front of the pub before the attack (out of view of those of us sitting out at the back) and even the policemen who took statements from us a few weeks later were shocked by what they saw recorded. Glad that the two mentioned have been punished. Sadly, there are something like 25 others out there who have got off scot free.

Dear all,
You may or may not know that Avon and Somerset Police have been pursuing those responsible for the violence a number of us witnessed in the pub garden of the Inn on the Green in Bristol before the Rovers match in April last year.
They were only able to positively identify two of the perpetrators, who eventually pleaded guilty to charges of violent disorder. After a period of deliberation over the exact details of the charges, they have now been sentenced to -230 hours community service each -£250 fine -a five year ban from all League football grounds.
Just thought I'd share the news.
All the best, Helen.
That's bloody pathetic. Both the sentences and the fact they only got two of them.
