Somebody called redtowntillidie has posted on the BBC 606 website that "a reliable source" has informed him that following a structural survey major problems with the Arkells have been found and the stand will not be available for the whole of the season!! That would be a disaster, but is it a wind-up or has anybody else heard anything?

Not sure what to make of that one.
Personally I think somebody has been yanking somebodies chain somewhere down the line.
The guy/gal who posted it does seems to have posted on Town matters since Jan 08, so seems unlikely to be on the wind up himself.

Could be that the club are getting a survey done or putting some minor damage right and someone got the wrong end of the stick through rumours from someone who works there or something. |

I'm with Ben on this one. Surely given the board have invested money on the Arkells over the summer seems to indicate that rumour is a little off the wall, or shall we say somewhat exaggerated......

Hundreds have season tiks for the Arkells...the club would have stopped selling them for the Arkells if this was remotely possible i think...but then and again this is Swindon!

At the moment I'll take this with a large pinch of salt, the new board have largely been very transparent and if something like this had occured I'm sure the fans would have been informed.
