What does ORLY mean?

Are you ORLY men? (works better in a cod Spanish accent)

Not with you there....

O'Reilly, Faulty Towers.  Manuel can't say O'Reilly and says Orily (which is a bit like ORLY after a bottle of red).

Leigh Mills isnt related to Matt Mills though, Matt Mills brothers are Jamie Mills ex town, now highworth, and Joseph Mills of Southampton

Well, if we're being pedantic, and by previous form for this forum, we most certainly are, then we missed out JP Mills.

But yes, Leigh is no relation. I'm suprised to see him drop down to League Two, particularly as he was meant to be ready to play for us in League One all of two years ago, gotta wonder what's hapenning there.

I think these lads get bad advice when going down the Mills route....the same will happen with Jutkeiwitz and Tozer.

They would be much better off playing for the Town for a couple of seasons, learn some match craft, and then, if good enough move on.....bit like Paul Rideout.

When they drop down at around 20/21 ....it's clear they may  be technically reasonable, but don't know how to play the game

i see what you are saying reg but dont agree really.the lads you mention were given an opportunity to try their luck at prem clubs.chances are if they dont make it there, they will probably end up playing stfc's standard.so they dont have alot to lose really, just the chance to maybe gain?

You're assumption that these lads can just pick up the thread by dropping down doesn't  always stack up....consider Matty Collins, who was a similar type to Leigh Mills.  Moved to Fulham as a kid from us for 100K,  didn't do anything,  moved to Swansea, where he's still under contract....didn't play last season., had a spell on loan last season at Wrexham....not convincing he'd now be about 22.

Lower league football is a tough physical environment...there's plenty of Prem acasdemy types who have it too easy, when they drop down, they're not match hardened.   Think Jamie Slabber.

It'd be an interesting stat to see where the Prem youth drop outs end up. The one's who drop down and make it at our level / one below are the ones you can name, so I suppose the names off top of heads isn't the best way of doing it.

On the other hand though, it's now harder to break into prem teams as a lower league player; well that's my perception anyway. Would be interesting to see stats on that aswell.

I thought it was one of Paris' main airports. I think this means I'm middle-aged (well that and the beer belly, grumpiness, shouting at the news on the radio, correcting kids who say "like" too much etc etc)

It will be of little comfort to you to know my thougt was the same....although I wanted to cuff Dave around the ear for not knowing his Leigh Mills from his Matthew Mills

From a Tottenham fan I know....according to one of their forums....He was recalled before the season started so as to invalidate his season long loan at the Bees, within hours his availability was circulated to football league clubs, signed for the Gills on a months loan with a view to a permanent signing as Ramos doesnt rate him.

Very strange goings on though, good luck to the lad as long as he doesnt sign permanantly for the Gills cos I hate them.
