Yep - just finished it. The man knows his football. Not a massive amount of new information other than the always important reassurances RE: debts, the general operation and the Football League forgiving us for previous sins.

It was reported on RS that Fitton has said he would like to see us in a new ground by 2012 or earlier if we are redeveloping the CG...good news I do think.

Jesus.
I still can't really wrap my head around this. Swindon town chairman in "not being a complete up himself twat shock".
The clubs not in debt, there are sensible positive moves afoot for the development of the club, new sponsors, new income streams being developed. Even from 180 miles away I can see the improvements being made at the ground.
It's not right I tell you. Something REALLY BAD has got to happen to balance all this up.

It's a good interview. The ground bit was probably the most interesting.

I haven't felt this much anticipation before a season since the late eighties, admittedly my attendance has been erratic over the last 10 years, but i really feel as though i dont want to miss a single game, roll on July friendlies.

Like Lumps I'm finding it really hard to adapt to a club that isn't facing impending doom.
Diamandis gone, relative financial security, cheaper season tickets, BBC back, infrastructure investment, backroom team investment, probably bigger crowds, better catering, stadium plans, JFK, blown away, what else do I have to say.
So remind me what we do as 'normal' fans again? Help out on the 6k push. Turn up for games and cheer on the team. Spend our money on the usual STFC stuff! That's it isn't it?

that was a good listen.all positive really.i like the way he is looking for progress each year.i'll take that.anything less than progression is failure. so we are looking to push on, on and off the pitch.i hope malpas and the players can make the necessary progression needed

Definitely a good listen no major surprises and a lot of reinforcement of previous statements but you really get a feel what Fitton is like as a chairman and as a chap. All very positive and there's no spin and no numbers being plucked out of thin air or sweeping statements a la Holt.
