Mine keeps doing that.

 I think it's because there's an error of a critical kind, and it can't connect to the database Tongue

Might be that the server isn't letting the webpages access the database - which could mean the site is skirting its download limit.  How much bandwidth does the webspace have?

We're on a pro-package and don't come close to the limit each month.

That said they are twiddling with the servers at the moment, which may explain it.
