You shouldn't need it with all the bonuses you get  Wink

Failing that steal money from people's birthday cards, that's what the other postmen do.

I'm pretty certain one of the ten points the board raised was the issue of the stadium. I seem to remember Fitton saying that he was going to appoint a task force later in the year (poss July/August) to access the possibilitity of a new stadium or the upgrade of TCG depending on the outcome of all things concidered.

Perhaps someone could clarify that?

Right, that might have been a throw-away remark but it's attitudes like that that piss me off.

We spent years complaining at the inability of the club to make money, moaning at previous boards for a lack of imaginatino when it comes to income streams. Fitton has come in and he's decided to work on the County Ground to make it more financially viable. The current board are making the ground a nicer place to be, they are making it a more attractive day out. Now they come up with an idea that could make thousands of pounds PER GAME and you think it's a bad idea because "they look stupid"Huh?

Spot on.

What looks stupid and has done so for many a year now is one side of the ground sat there empty with nice shiny red sits used perhaps 4 times a season, whilst seats fall apart and get replaced with a random colour in The Arkells Stand.
Thankfully at least they are sorting this. As for the boxes, i think there kind of cool! I have absolute no idea how much money these can make for the club or even how the boxes work. Do you rent them for the season or by the game? Maybe both? Either way as stated above it will bring extra income for the club and that can only be a good thing.

Hope they sort the toilets out on Stratton Bank then 'cos they are rank!

Cant see that, too much cost and effort, and too much of potential loss of revenue from the times team do fill it up, the revenue from the boxes wouldn't match that.

I meant so they overhang the stand - would need some sort of supporting structure though, so I guess I'm supposing too much.

Yeah it was something to that extent. They said they would upgrade the current stadium as much as they could at the moment as any new stadium would not become a reality for about 5 years after, plans, planning permission, consultation etc... Atleast I remember something to that effect.  AF and crew  said in about 6 months time a group would be set up to look at a new stadium and look at locations etc but he said before that the trend was to leave Town but now the trend is to stay in Town. He said he had se the previous plans aand they were ridiculous wanting to put 2,000 houses on the site. They would not be doing this but would work the council to sort out plans etc.

If we do have them then they would look a lot better under a roof but thats my opinion as i know planning permission and neighbors hold the key.
