Just a current update for those wondering what is happening with RALP.

- AGM to be called shortly to vote and update on accounts etc.

- Had an email from Nick Watkins who advised that we set up a meeting mid-July to sort out what we need to do etc.

- Currently RALP are working on plans for next season including displays for the first game.

- RALP hope to identify games when the fixtures are released on where we will do displays

- Finances are something we are working on, there is currently some funding available for displays as well as money from Vital Football which will also help to pay for displays

I thought about it.... I think if we want the adver and everyone in the same direction though we need to use the tried and tested name. The website is being updated and we will get some stuff arranged for our meeting with Nick. I also need to get some plans drawn up about what we need etc to ensure funding is in place.

I am looking to get ssome ideas released shortly. I am waiting for the accounts etc. I also need to speak to a few people as L&P to be honest is in tatters in terms of organisation etc. It's a minefield and need to clear a few things up including the amount of money that is still held etc so accounts can be published.

I want to work with the Trust on this as well as the Adver, Club etc get everyone involved.

Some peiople dont have time to do L&P anymore and as we deal with peoples cash there has to be rules etc set out. It's awkward because some people are saying that things have to be done "by the book" but these same people have had nothing to do with it for over a year so its awkward. I've asked Paul D for some advice as he in my mind is properly positioned and dealed with the issues involved with the Trust etc in regards to accounts, AGM's etc...

The only problem I have with Loud & Proud is that it does sound a little like a Gay Pride effort.  Nothing wrong with Gay Pride in my book, but probably not the image you're aiming for.

That said, it's only a minor niggle - and I completely take my hat off to Gaz for getting up off his arse and keeping this going.  If all of our fans had the same passion we would be giving Newcastle a run for their money.

Now I'm stuck with a mental image of the Town End full of shirtless Gaz's. Thanks for that Ardiles, bloody glad I'd already eaten my lunch
